World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The upgrade option lets players boost the gear rating of an item up 700 points and also add a bonus. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory before heading to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading due to their unique stats. (For example an excellently broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons don't really change after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the effort.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit probability and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. In addition there are many weapons with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon is present on a unit. This bonus can sometimes exceed the damage that a weapon upgrade alone can do.
item upgrader of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity as well as its current level. For example the weapon with a +2 rating will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while the +3 model requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a gun will increase until it needs an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.
Upgrading weapons will also reroll their base stats. While this is generally an excellent thing however, it could have negative consequences as well. Upgrades can render items impossible to use, unless you are very lucky.
Armor items can also be upgraded to boost their performance. This will increase the defense base of a chest or helm, while belts and gloves will increase their required strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it is able to reroll down to a lower value.
The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats it will gain upon upgrading in addition to their relative values. This means that a change from a sword with 8 damage to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in the weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will strike for 3 fewer times as it is an absolute statistic.
A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button, which is accompanied by circling arrows in the menu for items. The item will be rerolled and change its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's level nor tie it to the account status.
Armor
A few armor upgrades can make all the difference to your survivability. Certain sets provide massive boosts to poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, which makes it easier to navigate through tough terrain. In general, the greater defense you can offer your character, the more health you can receive from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.
To upgrade your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four in total each of which requires you to complete a specific side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the primary side quest and mastered the corresponding fountain, you can then contact any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.
The amount of material needed to upgrade each piece of armor will vary. In general, you're looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the first upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. The Champion Leathers, for instance can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which will allow you to remain competitive in frigid environments with a large number of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded to +20 defense so that you're able to survive a battle with your friends.
It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll have to focus on enhancing it to increase physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power in the case of a Mage. It's also worth saving your armor upgrades for the armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you'll wear for the final boss battle as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town, you can unlock perks for your armor. You'll generally want to save these upgrades to the weapon you'll use to win the game. For example, the Longsword or Battleaxe. It's nevertheless beneficial to have some upgrades for the helmets and chest armor to allow you to get around a few monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquid substances that, when consumed, give the player the illusion of status for a few minutes. There are five kinds of potions with different effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, enhancing the effectiveness of their effects. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.
Upgrades to potion require a certain amount of XP. This can be obtained by making them on a crafting table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. However, the upgrade price will vary based on the type of potion you'd like to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.
To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI that lets you choose the potion that you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have.
Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not degrade until you use it again or break the bottle it is stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change the name of the potion.
Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the mechanism of potions. Splash potions, for example are now available with a time of 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds displayed on the item hover display. The table for potion can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. It is now able to be used in both Survival and Bedrock. In contrast to the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions can't be used in cauldrons. Additionally, using a potentio on a full cauldron, it drains the contents and replenishes the bottle.
Lastly, there are now lingering potions that are brewed with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can also be added to lingering potions to extend their effect. The table of potions has been rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added, for instance, the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket is a small and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also be an object or ornament that serves a purpose, but is not important as a trinket. In some cultures, a trinket is used to symbolize friendship or affection, especially between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. They can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Trinkets, unlike other items that can be upgraded, can be traded at will without losing stats.
Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of every zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.
The upgrade of a trinket can be an affordable alternative to buying an entirely new one. It is possible to upgrade the player for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same level of base as the old trinket however, it will also come with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.
When the old Trinkets are not usable, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase their power and value with time. They can be traded among players which makes them a good alternative to gold.
In general, players should upgrade their highest priority items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, then their secondaries, and finally other pieces of gear that will not be replaced in the near future (for instance rings or cloaks). When choosing which items to upgrade, players must also be aware of their class's preferred statistics. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for tank players, then they should upgrade their chest, helm, and shoulders.
When they are no longer useful trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket comes with an additional bonus of 1. However, a re-upgrade will cause the trinket to be destroyed in the event that it is not salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit or a higher-tier salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, but is still cheaper than purchasing the new one.
